I am not talking about loading up the bike and touring. I am more into booking a nice place, like self contained villas or apartments for a week or more and doing day trips in that area, then move on to another region for another week or so. That way you can enjoy some exercise while exploring the markets or villages and coffee stops (earning the cakes) in the morning, then have the rest of the day to do tourist stuff or relax by the pool etc.
I have travelled in France Belgium and Holland by this method. I took my own bike Did a Bike and Barge tour last trip and it was just great. You ride by day with a guide and you hotel floats along the canals to meet you at your destination. No unpacking or carting luggage and your meals are waiting for you. Would love to do that again and also explore Belgium & Holland a bit more.
Keen to do it with a good companion. It is not all about the bike as I enjoy some relaxing days as well. Love great food and wine and absorbing the culture. Hoping to plan another Europe trip in 2019 or 2020.
Each to pay own cost and own rooms as hotels are very cheap (4 ) only
Will probably go via Kuala Lumpur with a stop over in baile as flights are cheaper
And direct from London. All welcome. Contact me on [email protected]

I have a 1 week break booked in Malta 21st - 28th October. I booked it back in 2016. At the time I was in a relationship but we have since gone our separate ways. The accommodation/flights etc are paid for so all you would need is some spending money in order to maintain your independence. I am a fun loving guy with a gsoh. I am a fit and healthy 55 year old non smoker who enjoys the occasional drop of amber nectar in moderation. I’ve a wide variety of interests such as gym workout, walking/exploring, sampling all cuisines, ( to which I’ve yet to discover that dish I dislike.) swimming, wildlife, a Leisurely coffee, and soul/Jazz music.
If of any interest please get in touch
Kindest regards
Pierre.
I live in London on the border of Surrey. I drive, swim, read, love the beach, music (particularly country). Am flexible and easy going.
