Best wishes Sue
I play a lot of Scrabble on line. A bit addictive. I love the ballet, listening to music, doing crosswords and reading. My boys ( my eldest is 60 and my baby is 58) have been amazing since losing my husband. We'd been married over 60 years so it's a lot to get over.
It would be great to meet new people on line. Hopefully have lots to share.

Just joined this sight. I live in Brittany and get home as often as possible. I'm looking forward to finding my way round this sight and I'm sure I'll probably make a mistake or two. Any help or a point in the right direction would be appreciated.

Niceto see someone from over the water has responded. I lived in Sud Vendee for 15 years, but returned to the UK in September 2020. At first I found it hard to adjust to city life - Portsmouth - as In France I lived in the country which was wonderful. Tell me - do you actually live in Brittany permanently or do you have a holiday home there ? It would be nice to correspond with you, and I wish you all the best.

Thank you for writing to me. I do indeed live permanently in Brittany, we made the move 7yrs ago. We live in Central Brittany, on the edge of a village with a huge garden. Quite rural. Happy to be here and the the way of life is good, but a little of me remains in the UK with family and friends.
Where in Sud Vendee did you live? Have had a few happy holidays in that area.
Still trying to find my way silversurfers, do enjoy the posts and the sentiments, along with my husband, often have a chuckle.
Would like to hear from you again.
Take care
Woollardot.
I live in uk always happy to chat
Sarah

Most of my friends have large families with grand-children or elderly parents to look after etc and they are all extremely busy. I have a daughter who loves to travel and she just moved to Switzerland with her boyfriend. I'm very happy for them but I feel a bit lonely too.
I'm not complaining because it's better to have nice (busy) friends that you see once in a while rather than none at all, but this means I'm often on my own at the weekend.
And sometimes you feel like chatting but you don't really feel like going out (especially after work in the evening when it's dark, cold and wet outside)
I live in Belgium but I come to Lincoln twice a year to visit my elderly aunt.
I'd love to chat with you if you're up to it !
I run and read and I'm interested in psychology, and the news. I try to go to the cinema at least twice a month (and I watch series' on Netflix). What about you ?
Anyway this has just given us a first subject of conversation: "aren't computers irritating"
Hoping to hear from you,
Catherine
