Hello Sally, I had a message from someone who said he couldn't find my profile and I was wondering how I could find profiles, could you help please.

Kind regards.

Jean
Response from Freeno21 made on 29th Mar 2023 13:32:24 > @jean999
click on their name in light blue, though most profiles I have looked at don't have much on them. Hope this helps. Regards.

Hello again Sally,

When I click on My Account, I can see Profile but then when I click on profile it just lists messages I have sent. How do I add a Profile?

Thanks.

Hi, just joined, I have a beautiful 10 year old german shepherd which I found in a stray pound nine years ago. I also have a very shy cat that I took o when his previous owner, (one of my bst friends), died, that was 5 years ago. Animals matter to me.

I don't know why I'm only seeing these 3 year old messages- I hope the forum is still active! I just signed up & just wanted to let you know that I'm not much younger than you, so we might have some shared experiences and interests to talk about. Adjusting to a new town can be challenging, especially when you don't know anyone yet. Not sure where you are but I'm based in Central London & working from home ended up with no friends to speak of! Yet I do have social skills- the problem is lack of opportunity after old friends move out! Don't hesitate to reach out if you'd like to chat, ask questions, or share your thoughts.

Sorry for the delay, I work in the North and Riding plus Harrogate Ripon and Wetherby areas as an Ops Manager I leave the house early around 5:15 and return around 17:30 to have dinner and then sort my Emails out. Thank you for the Kind reply and I've just bought a few more gits and just hope they get delivered in time with the GPO going on strike.
Response from Willhelm made on 12th Dec 2022 20:22:33 > @AJDallas
As you see above I don't have a lot of spare time although I bought a pretty good metal detector that is gathering dust, I did have it out in anger this summer though when I rented a Villa in the Loire for the family and spent the early mornings before it got to hot looking for treasure although all I found was nuts and bolts a Jean stud and a hub cap from an old car.
I've only got as far as Swansea in South Wales I did some work at Goresinion I think it was called and a lot more recently just outside of Rhyl in the North.

Hi Willhelm,
I've given up on getting some deliveries in time for Christmas. Think it's just hit or miss now when we will get the Postman at the door.
How's the travelling for work going with the current weather? Those early starts mean you'll be getting all the lovely untraveled, frosty roads first thing.
Response from Willhelm made on 15th Dec 2022 19:56:28 > @LLowdell
It's been a challenge in the North and East Yorkshire area Scarborough and area seems to have had it worst on Wednesday . I have three projects up there and one of the Teams who live in Brotton had to get home via the A64 the coast road was shut as was the Pickering road. A bit warmer today. Hope you are keeping well.

Hi WIlhelm, I’m In S Yorks, I used to work for BR and travelled between Scotland and London as I worked as an auditor and was based in York/London mostly, although prefer the north. I get free rail travel, but haven’t been anywhere by train, due to covid in over two years. My single daughter and I tend to drive to holiday parks or camp sites, as we have a chi and a chorkie, our last hol was to Morecambe, wasn't’ very Impressed.

hi Dallas,,just popped in because of where you are ,need to tell you a funny story ,not funny then ,but I was in a chippy in the Mumbles area, it was a very long queue and I was next but one to be served ,when , a tap on my shoulder with a message ." a policeman wants to speak to you now .. I was served ,,went out .and was met by an irate policeman , who shouted at me and said I should have come out IMMEDIATELY I explained that I had been waiting ages in the queue, The problem was ,,I had parked my car with one wheel on the pavement ... Where do you live ?he asked ,I explained that I was staying at the hotel ,as we were working in the area ,,all 10 of us .
the other girls thought it was hilarious ,dragged out of a chippy by a copper ..
Response from Willhelm made on 23rd Dec 2022 09:39:28 > @sandie1416
Hi Sandie, Unfortunately I worked through Covid as a key worker thats the bad bit the good part is that the first lockdown I spent in the Lake District where we were installing a new water pipeline. It was marvelous completely devoid of tourists.
I managed to get away to France between the two lockdowns just getting back a day earlier before the second lockdown started. Your free rail travel must be marvelous I love travelling on the train but these days it is more often than not cheaper to fly. I've just broken up for the festive season and just winding down with all work at a halt. The last job to close was in Ripon and for a minute I thought it was touch and go wether we would be finished.
I hope you and your family are well.

Name too long. Your story was so funny, if you don’t have a Welsh accent beware! Seriously just joking. I’m twenty minutes from the mumbles. So where are you from?

I was readng the conversations and saw you had missed the f out. Made me laugh as I remembered That's Life with Esther Rantzen years ago reading an announcement of Births out of a paper...this one read " James and Ann are pleased to announce the safe arrival of their baby... a git of a son...David"...

I know your area - lived in Knaresborough through the 90's...elder son lives there with his family now- best view ever over the river and Mother Shipton;s Cave from the Castle...in autumn!
Younger son lives in York...lovely part of the World!

Beany,
I’ve got to say your refusal was so polite, it’s a classic. Made me laugh. My aunts 87 in her own home and the only way they will take her out of there is in a wooden box xx
Response from Beany made on 12th Dec 2022 07:44:53
Hello AJ weather getting worse May have to think about hibernating! I’m glad my refusal made you laugh but it wasn’t a refusal as such more a query if you want to chat to an old lady (who doesn’t know she is old until the birthday candles appear) I live and have done my whole life in West Midlands, yes I have an awful accent but it won’t be noticeable if we chat in writing eh? See my bio for likes.Have a good day Beany
Response from AJDallas made on 12th Dec 2022 11:18:35 > @Beany
Hi Beany,
You are funny. I was born in Rugby so not to far. Relocated to Wales to help my aunt aged 87 years young! Two children daughter lives in Melton Mowbray, son in Dallas, Texas. Hence my name . Married for over twenty five years, divorced twelve years ago. Slight culture shock. Alas, no grandchildren yet. Read your bio, we have nothing in common I love silly films, Korean series (they are so respectful) crime series etc on Netflix. I’m an avid reader, love musical theatre but not opera. Love Mario Lanza, listened to his Christmas carols yesterday whilst wrapping. So beautiful I ended up with soggy wrapping paper . Nothing but admiration for people who can sew, do needlepoint, knit, crochet. My mother and grandmother were so talented. I can’t but I do draw. May I ask why Beany? What are you doing for Christmas? My aunt and I are visiting my daughter.. Hopefully speak soon,
AJDallas

I am getting into a very bad habit of replying to a chat then somehow losing it before the end and the chance to send it.It’s just happened again and now it’s lunchtime so I’ll see if I’m any better at making a sandwich and eating it THEN I’ll come back and try again.Beany alias Jean.My beloved dad called me Jean Beany but you can choose.
Response from Beany made on 12th Dec 2022 20:51:46
Bingo!found you again. This is a bit like hide and seek don’t you think?
I was married for thirty four years to Bill a lovely guy eighteen years older than me and our two sons are doing us proud.I see Ryan often as he pops up from Northampton and is excellent at doing any odd jobs round the house. My elder son lives in London and does not drive .He and his Italian wife have my two grandchildren.Alessandro is at Prague Uni and Sophia is in London.I have one sister and three nieces so not a huge family but we are all close and do a fortnightly on line get together to hear all the news.As an avid tv watcher I am going to watch Strictly which has been altered to cover the footballHopefully I won’t lose you again.Beany
Response from AJDallas made on 14th Dec 2022 19:43:35 > @Beany
Beany,
Can’t believe it, my first name Avril but was always called by my middle name since birth: Jean, and my father always called me Jean the Queen
Response from AJDallas made on 14th Dec 2022 20:14:42 > @Beany
Beany,
From Jean the Queen My son is married to a Mexican/American girl. He and she are so beautiful from inside and out. Really miss him since he moved to Dallas. He is an architect, honours student; 6ft 5inches so not to tall in Dallas My daughter whom I spoilt rotten ‍♀️ But a credit to to me! Doesn’t drink, smoke, eat unhealthy foods, wonderful daughter but I’m the antipathies! Georgie is successful, beautiful and trust me, given I’m very critical has a lovely partner, Ben. But it’s hard yes Beany; when the children you focused on too much leave. the nest. Anyway we all get together at holidays. Both children want me to live with them but I can never leave my aunt. Strictly I watch now and again, honestly prefer law & order Come on Beany can only have so much frilly dresses, or dresses that don’t really. exist One thing I hope, we are not messaging for everyone else to see Did ask silver chat but as yet no response. Hope you’re really looking forward to Christmas, I’m just about sorted bar wrapping. At least not waiting for any more parcels to arrive, thank goodness xx

Hi. I'm free and ready for anything you throw at me . I am a tad short on human contact ,but
this is a good second best , I do tend to talk to most dogs when out ,,the wagging tail is a good sign ,wagging teeth ,,,not , So ,,,are you a tail or teeth person??? I have a huge
sense of humour , needed ,when you live alone ,and can't get the car out of the drive ,,,, slope and rear wheel drive ,
Response from AJDallas made on 15th Dec 2022 11:23:58 > @Ariadne
Even greater sense of humour when one has never driven They don’t call me Jean the Queen for nothing. Love animals but not an animal lover… Animals tend to gravitate towards me but I have to stay calm and avoid teeth and tails! Noticed you like horses, my daughter was awarded a scholarship at Queen Elthelburg: Equestrian Science. I was just there to hold the reins She ended up taking a totally different path. Love laughing but think I have an acquired sense of humour. Also I agree you’re only lonely if you want to be lonely. Netflix or a good book or my mobile, a great cup of coffee and a candle soon solve the problem. One thing though, I could sit in a coffee shop all day and nobody would talk to me yet my sister leave her for ten minutes and she has a complete audience ‍♀️ She used to find it quite annoying ‍♀️ So what are you up to for the holidays? Do you have horses? Where have you travelled?

morning Dallas ,apologies for the time lapse .My job ,,long gone ,,took me all over uk, wales .and bits of Scotland ,with just a road atlas ,,easy peasy ,,,finding my way around this site ,and all the other bits is like a massive maze I even Book marked it , that didn't work either .Horses,,,
now we are on a lifelong addiction .Kept them for years ,how I worked and took care of ,and rode ,daily I was up in the North east one day ,about 100 miles away .weather forecast came on ,heavy rain in E Yorks , that was it ,,mad dash down the motorway ,horses were out with no rugs on .Arrived ,, weather OK ,,,horses ,looked ,enough to say .."your'e home early ." Don't have any horses, or dogs at the moment ,long boring story ,but I' not happy ,plus .no riding because of two shoulder operations . My travelling is reduced to the UK , being a creature of impulse ,I just go ,to the coast .up to Cumbria ,North Yorks , . I really enjoy driving .still, even though i drove mega miles with my job
Holiday will be a tad boring and quiet ,,my life was totally disrupted ,,about 15 years ago ,I had to leave my dream location .the edge of the Atlantic in Southern Ireland and return here
to take care of a mother ,who had more or less ignored me for most of my life , So,,
no friends ,,no life ,,,no horses ,,,but ,,,,I do have my best friend ,,,,My car ,,,,
and ,,,I almost lose the will to live ,,as I search this site for people I have met ,designated never to meet again ,,,BOO HOO

Hey Ariadne,
My daughter will never have another horse after her horse Roza, who was a total handful! Very sad I would love to see her get another horse. Now to address your issue: You are mobile, there is life in the old girl yet Christmas is never boring get yourself a classic bottle of wine for Christmas Eve, turn those Christmas lights on and watch a great movie xx Also remember there are always people who will chat to you, as I’m chatting now. Re: chat answer me this how can a company promise delivery 21st Dec. via Amazon, then come back to me saying delivery after 27th! Also tell me I can either refund or accept delivery later (after Christmas). I would love to cancel order, trouble is item great for my son in law ‍♀️

I went to buy a donkey picked one ,ready to leave ,when another came up to me ,and put his head on my arm ,,,, what could I do ???? Put 'em both in the horse box , I am going to give your Amazon prob a miss ,I much prefer proper shopping . Delivery is instant ,,,You could get out there and physically look for whatever it is . Hey Ariadne,
Sorry just got back had a fantastic Christmas and New Year. My aunt and I stayed with my daughter and her partner. So much fun. Re: my daughter she is talented (I don’t know the horses bit piece , would say main but not sure if the correct spelling to its rear ) My daughter awarded scholarships on horses supplied (we are not rich) won competitions especially jumping and dressage, and taught riding, Just her passion stopped when she lost her horse Roza,: A completely neurotic thoroughbred. Oh and they did pick each other, only my daughter could control her, Mind you her Serbian grandfather was a horse whisperer so maybe that’s where she got the talent from ‍♀️ Anyway enough about my daughter. Firstly how are the donkeys? What are their names! You are so soft when it comes to animals Secondly what are your New Years Resolutions? Did you have a great Christmas? Bye4Now x

About to leave ,when thiis scruffy pure white bundle ,came up to me ,,,,,,,,I have told you this ,,,,,

I suppose you spent a lot of time on the floor over the holidays ..safest place to be !!!!!!!
my Xmas was expectedly quiet , Proper friends all live miles away .. And ,,,lifelong rule .not to drive on motorways in holiday times ,,
I do like ,and love animals ,horses first .dogs next ,,,, goats , are like clouds to take car of ,, rabbits that lived in the hay store and would come when called ,a homing pigeon that lost it's way and decided to stay .and slept on a horse back. enough ,,on my favourite subject

Hey where did you go?
We are so opposite you and I but you make me laugh. I’m into comfort, tv, books, holidays and no Ari totally teetotal over Christmas; boring. You are into animals and the great outdoors. However, you are great to chat to, Hope you get this message, I still can’t work this site! Drop me a line.and tell me what you’re up too.

Also awake strange hours because I research for my son in Dallas. Anyway take care and stay happy x One thing Beany how do I go private to avoid the public website like you did?
Best wishes x

I grew up in the Minneapolis Suburbs and still miss it! I now live in KY where the winters are not nearly as pretty or fun. It’s chilly here but everything is brown and muddy. What part of the state are you in?

Ice and cold are dangerous You must carefully plan outdoor trips or you may become a statistic.
Food and etc. must be stock piled ahead of time. Much of business such as bus, groceries close during storms. Many highways are prone to closing.
