Will  You?

Will you hold me in your arms
Tell me everything’s OK,
Calm my troubled, broken mind
Make the demons go away?

Will you hold me in your arms
When the world won’t let me go,
Take me to another place
Where no one else will know?

Will you hold me in your arms
And tell me all your dreams,
Make me believe the future
Is brighter than it seems?

Will you hold me in your arms,
And dry my flowing tears,
Talk about a better life
And drive away my fears?

If you hold me in your arms
Then I’ll hold you in mine,
And maybe we can find again
The love we left behind.

I live in Northamptonshire with my daughter and our dog, although I am originally from Derby. I lost my partner over a year ago and am coming to terms with starting a new life for myself at the age of 58!
