Who are you?
Who are you?
Who are you, little robin, who do you represent,
Each morning when you sing to me with happy merriment,
Such cheerfulness you do impart, to brighten up each day,
But who are you, little robin, which soul has passed away?
Who are you when you sing to me, what message do you bring,
Such trust you have, so close to me with your gentle uttering,
You tell me that your soul is resting, and you are at peace,
But who are you, little robin, who’s love do you release?
So many thoughts come to me, held within your gentle tune,
All memories of loved ones gone, to dance above the moon,
Do my ancestors send greetings or my parents, or a friend,
Who are you, little robin, what message do they send?
It always is a blessing, I hold so many things within,
I see your breast stained with the blood, of man’s eternal sin,
But yet you still give us your trust and sing to us your love,
But who are you, little robin, with your message from above?
