When the Vaccine Comes
When the Vaccine Comes
Hello… 999? Can you help on our street?
I am worried at Frank who is dancing with Pete,
Auntie Rhona has vodka, she’s stuck in the drains,
While Albert her husband is stroking her veins,
They are singing and shouting and racing wheel-chairs,
Never showing concern ‘bout our horrified stares
While Doreen and Maureen are jiving with Joan,
They seem unaware that we’re still stuck at home
How I envy the freedom of Audrey and Maxine,
My eighty-plus friends who have had both their vaccines
