We Watch Them Grow

For anybody who has had the utmost privilege to be in the life of a child, be it as a parent/grandparent/foster parent/uncle/aunty, or any other caring role.

How lucky are we. Such a blessing. ❤️💜

We Watch Them Grow

Oh, how we love to watch them grow
For our children, such fine seeds we sew
So they can have a wondrous life
Filled with warmth, away from strife

We care for them with all our might
Protecting them, we hug them tight
We teach them what is right and wrong
Wise words to keep their whole life long

We cherish every milestone made
And relish every time we played
We watch their childhood faces grow
As seasons rush from sun to snow

We try to help when tears they’ve cried
Our own upset we try to hide
We patch their wounds with love and care
They know we’ll always be right there

All those ‘firsts’ now locked away
For when we reminisce someday
For, all too soon, the nest they’ve flown
Our job complete, now fully grown
