We Three Kings

We Three Kings

We three kings of Orient are
Preferred not to travel but propped up a bar
Gin and brandy, dry wine and shandy
Just so much better by far

When we came we travelled by bus
We left our gifts without any fuss
We journeyed far, the driver a star
We never once heard him cuss

We three kings were older than thought
Even the age of the gifts that we brought
Senior bus passes, NHS glasses
Never a journey so fraught
