We Must Have Walked A Thousand Miles

In honour of all of our amazing dogs.  You bring us all so much joy through your lives and, in return, we do our best to make your lives so full of love, happiness and contentment.  And, when you sadly leave us, you do us the greatest honour of leaving us with so many wonderful loving memories.  Man’s best friend for sure. ❤️🐶💜

We Must Have Walked A Thousand Miles

You smothered me in kisses
From the day you brought me home
You welcomed me into your house
Where I was free to roam

You taught me lots of little tricks
I was always keen to shine
You showered me with endless love
You made my world divine

We’d go on great adventures
We must have walked a thousand miles
Through countryside and fields of green
As we’d navigate the styles

You’d cuddle and you’d play with me
Yes, you made me feel so blessed
And, in return, I soothed your soul
Our hearts, they were caressed

The years rushed past, way too fast
As we tried to ebb the tide
But I was still you loved companion
As I’d settle by your side

The rainbow bridge, it beckoned me
With deep regret I had to go
But rest assured, my dearest friend
I love you more than you could know
