Trapped
Trapped
In such a rush to get there, I gave the door a slam
Out solo shopping, so none knows where I am
The door is very sturdy, reaches to the floor
Making it impossible, to limbo neath, I’m sure
Having acrophobia, I would be a flop
If I attempted, to clamber over top
Hoping for attention, I then gave out a yell,
But nobody heard it, I could plainly tell
Receiving a brainwave, I chose to phone a friend
Sending them an SOS I did intend
Alas, there was no signal, then to my dismay
I dropped it in the loo bowl, and it quickly swam away
With a well-stocked handbag, to me it was a shock
Not one single item, to help remove the lock
Will I be here forever, does the cleaner ever call
Not often if I judge it by graffiti on the wall
I tramped round stores for ages, had hot and aching feet
Thinking things could be much worse……I settled on the seat
