Time for a change
Time for a change
How I long for that bikini body
Suntanned, and curves to admire
But I know it’s not going to happen
Looking white, with a bit of a tyre.
I have just tried on my bikinis
They just about covered my intimate parts
And the tightness caused a few ripples
Just like a homemade fruit tart.
It was then that I decided
My bikini days were through
Time to buy a swimsuit
The time was overdue.
I knew this day was looming
And I do feel rather sad
Bikinis in the charity bag
I think my husband was rather glad.
Swimsuits have now been purchased
Ones that hold in your tum
Lots of flattened out ripples
Just arms and legs in view of the sun.
No more feeling embarrassed
When your top comes off in the pool
Or your pants coming off on the water slide
And you’re left feeling such a fool.
Can’t wait to go on my holiday
Beachwear now all sorted
All the ripples are tucked in my swimsuit
And wearing a swimsuit is not quite so daunting.
