The Stolen Kiss

The Stolen Kiss

I sometimes get a snippet through dreams of my past
When I was a young girl living in Belfast
Last night it was 1969 students day outside the BHS department store
Where I worked as a Saturday girl in ladies fashions ground floor

My friend and I were talking when I was grabbed unexpectedly
By a dressed up for charity university student who kissed me passionately
Blushing I glanced inside the store and saw to my horror
The Manager and the gorgeous Assistant M laughing at me outside the main front door

Much to my embarrassment I strode on out of sight
Befuddled by my predicament to their obvious delight
It still seems like yesterday as I reminisce
About that Kodak moment and the stolen kiss
