The Flight of Covid 19

The Flight of Covid19

The  aircraft took off, coded Covid19 for a  trip around the Earth,
A morbid bringer of mayhem and death, to those of earlier birth.
It had no care for anyone, as it swooped from town to town,
Causing coughs, sore throats and sneezes, bringing people down.

It travelled the world with amazing speed, deaths’ harbinger so cruel,
Brought out the worst in many folk, from cleverest down to fool.
The media made its’ money from declaring all the worst,
Talked only of the negatives, so the panic bubble burst.

They wallowed in their stories, of deaths and bad infection,
They talked not of recovery, so great upon reflection
Even the clever went to grab all toilet rolls from the shop,
Despite the fact that common sense had told them all to stop.

The elderly were suffering, could not get goods and food,
All depleted because of idiots, stockpiling …..so rude!.
No-one cared but for themselves, or so it would appear,
But there were those who really cared, with loving hearts so dear.

What was considered good advice, the government provided,
But I have to say that common sense has just not coincided.
As the virus takes its’ course, its’ effects will take their toll,
A huge proportion will survive, but some will lose their soul.

As we become exposed, to this worldwide spread infection,
It’s time now to get close to God, to ask for His protection.
Praying to God is not a chore, for His compassion, mercy and love,
He’s promised to heal each one of us from Heaven up above.
