The Community

The Community

I wonder what I used to do, before my iPad came along,
I think I used to read a book, or listen to a song.
I know I watched TV a lot, or read a magazine,
Or looked at all the photographs, of places that I’d been.

My life has changed completely, almost overnight,
And it’s mainly due to finding..the Silversurfers site.
I’ve found there’s much to interest me, as I trawl from page to page,
And I’m pleased to find it’s not only me..who’s reached a certain age.

Articles and stories, there are holidays to be won ,
Lovely photo’s of our pleasant land, and of the setting sun.
Nostalgia by the bucket load, reminding me of earlier times,
Poems that make me laugh or cry and loads of funny rhymes.

Questions to be answered, do I agree..or disagree?
A chance for me to say my bit..how do I think that it should be?
I can tap to make a COMMENT, or I can just give LIKE a tap,
I can even share things with my friends, from my iPpad on my lap.

So well done Silversurfers, thank you for brightening up my day,
And I know you’ll always be there..even when I go away.
There must be lots of people..everywhere..that think the same as me,
That it’s not so lonely being in..your community.
