Every July in Calgary we dust off our western gear
In anticipation of The Stampede that rides into town each year
‘The Greatest Outdoor Show On Earth’ is what it’s famed to be
Ten days of thrills and excitement for all the family
It kicks off with a huge parade led by the Calgary Stampede Showband
A two hour extravaganza and salute to our heritage and land
A spectacular invitation to the Exhibition and Rodeo
Ride the Midway hoist a beer and dance the Do-C-Do
See professional cowboys compete daily to win the coveted first prize
On bulls and bucking broncos of varied breed and size
Listen to the thunder of the chuck wagons race around the track
Then watch the Grandstand Show and fireworks that will entice you to come back
Saddle up and come join us at The Stampede in Calgary
Get lassoed by music food and fun with western hospitality
