The 60s!
Mick Westwood takes a nostalgic look back at the 60’s!
The 60s !
Jazzy shirts, mini skirts, winkle picker shoes,
Sideboards long, ‘skiffle’ song, better than the blues,
String guitar, bubble car, Juke Box Jury plays,
What an introduction to my teenage days.
Crepe soled shoes, drainpipe trews, velvet coat and cuff,
Greasy hair, chest all bare, to show that we were tough,
Sugar skirts for the flirts, white stilettos too,
Boys and girls together in the mating zoo.
Rock and Roll, oh my soul, none would ever mock,
When they saw us ‘Teds’, they quivered with the shock,
With our ‘dolls’ upon our arm we swaggered in our ways,
Didn’t we just love it in our teenage days!
