Ted the Bear
Ted the Bear
I’d like to introduce you to Ted
He’s spent many years in my bed
Fifty-five years my companion
We played with happy abandon
He’s covered in stitches
He no longer wears britches
He’s as thin as a rake
My childhood keepsake
Ted’s green eyes are watching
His holeyness is shocking
Ted’s fur has long gone
His comfort I depend upon
Ted’s ears are floppy
His nose is a bit wobbly
With me through thick and thin
Lost in Hastings, found again
He’s unmistakably a purebred
My magnificent, cuddly bear Ted
