Stop the Rabbit!
This amusing poem was written by Tracey Curtis ….
STOP THE RABBIT
I love my wife, so very much,
we met one day, whilst walking.
She’s sweet and kind all them things,
If only she’d stop talking.
Talk Talk Talk, her mouth don’t stop,
It makes me feel like weeping,
I love her so, I really do,
But mostly, when she’s sleeping.
She even talks when eating food,
It really is no joke.
She doesn’t even stop to breath,
it’s a wonder she don’t choke.
She tried her hand at driving,
But she didn’t get very far,
With all her constant talking,
She nearly crashed the car.
She tells me once, she tells me twice,
she tells me once again.
I swear to god, if she doesn’t stop,
I know I’ll go insane.
On a Sunday, we go of to Church,
and I’m grateful for the seats.
As she just has to stop and talk,
To every one she meets.
I couldn’t say it to her face,
But she’s getting on my wick.
She’s like a record, that has got stuck,
That needs a little kick.
The worst is when she’s drinking,
Her chat gets out of hand.
Every pub that she’s been in
she ends up getting banned.
If only I could find a way,
To help her with her habit.
Some little button, I could press,
To mute that constant rabbit.
And on that note, my story ends,
My wife is still the best.
There she goes, she’s off to bed,
To give her tongue a rest.
