So Many Lonely People
So many lonely people
But does anybody really care?
They’re too busy thinking about themselves
To notice that they’re there
Be nice if things were different
Be nice if they had a friend
To call in now again
Or a birthday card they could send
Some day we could all get lonely
And find ourselves in their place
I bet we would be like them
Hoping to see a friendly face
So why not go and visit
Someone you know lives alone
Am sure they would be glad to see you
And invite you into their home.
