Come inside and close the door
slide your shoes across the floor
Lay beside me hold on tight
I’ll be your sanctuary through the night
Your work day is over it’s time to rest
you gave it your very best
Let’s hold each other protectively
safe from all adversity
Through the good and bad times too
I’ll always be loving you
Trying to be the better man
if you let me I know I can

as you’ve done many times before
Remembering I’ll always be
