Rocky Mountain Rainbow

Rocky Mountain Rainbow

Some say at the end of a rainbow you’ll find a pot of gold
Whether anyone’s found it has yet to be told
I’ve seen a few rainbows throughout my life sometimes there has been two
Beautiful celestial sights so magnificent to view

Observed after a rainfall often above an urban sprawl
Most recently over the Rocky Mountains mid September in the Fall
They are a glimpse of something magical an optical phenomenon
When the observer is very fortunate to perchance upon

Many cultures have legends to explain a rainbows existence
Scientific reasons cannot deny their colourful magnificence
So wish upon a rainbow next time one comes into view
Maybe if you’re lucky your dreams will indeed come true
