Rock Concert
Rock Concert
Stood there at the window
Watched her walk up the path
Her tent and all her camping gear
Were fastened to her back
My heart sank when she told me
Of her impending fate
A rock festival was calling
She was going with a mate
Now I’ve heard of all these concerts
With drugs and lots of drink
Whatever going to happen
I really dread to think
I know there’s sex with rock and roll
Coz I’ve heard them on the telly
With stories of the people there
All giving it some welly
I told her of the forecast
A long weekend of rain
But she said she wasn’t bothered
Coz music’s in her veins
We had a talk the night before
Of pitfalls she might have
She answered that the biggest risk
Was going to the lav
If you get caught inside of one
When the lads are full of drink
They will come and tip them over
And you’ll be covered with the stink
I made her take her wellies’s
A hat, a scarf and vest
She promised she would wear them
If she thought it for the best
But I know that I will worry
About getting into bother
But I think I’ll have to trust her
After all she is my mother
