As it was too wet to go out for a walk yesterday my mind wondered off by itself…

Red Riding Hood Does Covid

Granny lived deep in the woods
She was old and getting frail
So when Covid  came around
Granddaughter did not fail

To make quite sure that she stayed safe
Also to isolate
She took her soup and sandwiches
On a lovely china plate

Whilst trotting through the foliage
And keeping to the path
She met a sexy woodcutter
Who delayed her hour and haf’

Whilst she was galavanting
No social distance kept
Wolf espied his chances
To granny’s door he leapt

Though grandma  was still in bed
Her hearing was acute
She peeped through the window
Didn’t like his hairy suit

Go away you mangy cur
You’re not supposed to be
Hammering on my cottage door
‘Cos we’re in tier three

Well Wolvie got fed up
And finally slunk away
There are not very many
Can say Covid saved their day
