The pink cherry blossom
The pink cherry blossom
A short time of pleasure
A beauty so grand
The pink cherry blossom
Takes the stand.
Covered in pink blossom
The branches hang down
That sway in the breeze
A waving hand.
A cluster of petals
That covers the tree
As I stop to admire
She smiles back at me.
Her beauty is with us
For just a short while
A confetti of petals
A carpet of pink pile.
Taken by nature
As all life has to end
The pink cherry blossom
A season’s trend.
