The New Prime Minister

In the light of the referendum and the subsequent resignation of David Cameron I thought we needed a little light relief. Hope you enjoy and also vote for Larry! x

The New Prime Minister

There is no need to panic, or to have a sense of fear.
We’ve got the textbook candidate, he’s looming very near.
He has the right credentials and he’s very debonair,
the perfect face for media and he’s never worse for wear.

He has that killer instinct and a predatory streak.
There is no time for fleeing rats, or a cabinet that’s plain weak.
The public just adore him, a gorgeous striking chap.
A leader that would save the day and put us on the map.

No fat cats would be welcomed, he’d chase them clean away.
They wouldn’t stray within his sights or they would rue the day.
He never had a silver spoon or a taste of Eton Mess,
battered by the knocks of life, his survival more or less.

He’d make the perfect skipper to keep us all afloat,
no fishing for the little fry would ever float his boat.
He looks like he means business as he watches from afar.
Renowned for catching what he wants, a flawless repertoire.

Just in case you haven’t guessed, it’s Larry we now seek.
The cat who lives at number ten with his rather fine physique.
Disregard those dull elections, just let the cat right in.
He’ll sort the mice from all the men, and the real stuff can begin!

(The purrfect candidate)
