My Treasures
My Treasures
A box contains my treasures, this is accessed by only me
I sometimes gently take them out, but none will ever see
So if you find me smiling and you don’t know the reason why
Or if you catch me wipe a tear, from the corner of my eye
I am sorting through my memories, some faint tho’ some quite clear
Resurrected by a smell, a place, or time of year
These treasures I hold sacred, I pray we never part
For I cherish them, lock them away, in the depths within my heart
