Mr Sunshine

Mr Sunshine, please send me a dream, and help me to plan a near perfect scheme.
we think of you almost every single day, and miss you, when from us you hide away,

When you come out, you bring to every one lots of peace, harmony and endless joy,
the kids love playing out more, because to them you bring warmth,
as they play in the street with their favourite toy

Each day when come out, you bring a smile to every single person who is around,
and your rays bring warmth and nourishment to the plants that are in the ground.
your rays often dry up the rain that has settled on the ground below,
and each person comes out to simply admire the waters near them as you make their surface glint and glow

Mr sunshine thank you for being part of our lives,
and bring each of us a tiny piece of joy,
no matter if we are adults teenagers, or simply a newborn baby Girl or Boy.
Without you Mr sunshine coming into our world it would be a much duller and sadder place to live,
because when you are awake and come out to play, much pleasure to millions of people you do willingly give

This poem and title is my own creation was partly created by the help of ladies and gentlemen, who were residents in a Barnsley (South Yorkshire) care home, and sadly were living with several forms of dementia.
