Me And My Shadow

Many of us suffer from anxiety but try our best to hide it.  But, wouldn’t it be better if we were able to talk about it freely.  We would be surprised to realise just how many other people feel the way we feel.  It’s good to talk

Me And My Shadow

As I take my journey on life’s path
My shadow follows me
My daily test, my inner pest
It’s called anxiety

So many feel the way I feel
But they try so hard to hide
That nagging feeling, which leaves them reeling
That’s lurking deep inside

My shadow tries to spoil my fun
But I won’t let it win
With my life to live, so much to give
I must learn to reign it in

For all of you who feel this way
Please know it’s good to chat
To talk about, yes, to let it out
There is nothing wrong with that

Our shadows like their hiding place
Let’s bring them in full view
Time to talk about and let the secret out
To make a happier me and you
