that my love has passed away
before I had the chance to say

It happens every time
we keep these words in mind
when we should be saying
those little words
I-LOVE-YOU

Now it is to late
for I have lost my soul mate
before I had the chance
to say those little words
I-LOVE-YOU

So all of you out there
show someone that you care
simply by saying
those little words
I-LOVE-YOU

Don’t make my mistake
do it for your sake
simply by telling
the one you love
those little words
I-LOVE-YOU

And if that person departs
least you will know in your hearts
you said those little words
I-LOVE-YOU
