Lesson Learned
After playing about all day, nothing much accomplished despite good intent I wrote this. Hope I’m not the only one…..
Lesson Learned
When I was young and in my prime
I stated that I had no time
With only twenty-four hours each day
Life and such got in the way
Have lazy nature, many flaws
So often fail to do the chores
A great big list I could be statin’
Like sewin, mendin, decoratin’
Yes, I swept them all aside
Excuse, too busy…..but I lied
It wasn’t that the time was lackin’
I’ve plenty now, and still not crackin’
After seventy years to my frustration
Found I simply have no inclination
Although I won’t neglect to mention
I still posses a good intention
