I left
I left
I left my heart, where I hung my cap,
With the girl, who held it tight,
To keep for me, for eternity,
Guarded, by her might.
I left my love beside her,
On the pillow, of our bed,
On the scented sweetened cushion,
Where rested once my head.
I left a million love – songs,
Dancing in the air,
And all around her, dreaming,
Everywhere.
I left a thousand memories too,
These for every day,
To spark our love, with a thought anew,
To lighten each dark day.
I left a heart that’s grieving,
For all eternity,
But see that peg, where I hung my cap,
See that cap, -see me
