How Do You Like Your Coffee?

The Coffee Dilemma!

How do you like your coffee?

I stopped to have a coffee, just a simple drink I thought.
Who’d credit that refreshment could make you feel quite fraught?
First there is the coffee bean, the origin and the blend,
the tasting notes and harmony, ‘I just need to phone a friend !’

Now is it Ethiopian? Or is it coffee from Brazil?
Columbian has pleasant ring, so that may fit the bill.
Next we come to style of drink, whether frothy, flat or black,
double shot or caramel, or espresso for that whack !

Whipped, wet or extra hot, or is it coffee with some cream.
Would I like some cinnamon, or stick to more mainstream?
To add to my confusion, is the size of coffee cup.
Grande sounds enormous, so what will measure up?

Then we have barista, a person in the know.
He rattles off the coffee names, as if I’m good to go.
I scratch my head and smile at him, he asks me for my choice.
The words come out all back to front, within my squeaky voice.

Should I choose a Macchiato or Americano with some cream?
Cappuccino sounds quite yummy but the frappe looks a dream.
Is it Mocha, Latte, Decaff, or just soya with a shot?
Perhaps I’ll go for instant, as I’ve really lost the plot!!!!!!!
