Granny’s Christmas gift for her grandson

Granny’s Christmas gift for her grandson

Throughout your life, there are six words I recommend you say.
These words have the power to make or break your day.
Use them wisely. Be sincere and come what may
A happy and contented life can’t help but come your way.

The first of these is ‘Please’ – manners maketh man.
The second word is ‘Thankyou’, ‘Thanks’ or ‘Ta’. Use it often, whenever you can.
The third is ‘Sorry’. Take it from me, your dear old Nan,
Who knows there is no other plan.

The next three words, ‘I Love You’ can be the trickiest of all.
Don’t say them unless you mean them or you’ll be heading for a fall
Like juggling on a unicycle with two chain saws and a ball,
Or knocking your head against that proverbial brick wall.

Bu when you find the one you love and your family give you much cheer,
There’s two more words I can think of that will help you out right here.
When your love gets cross and grumbles (and she will now and then, have no fear)
See the funny side of things, just smile and say ‘Yes, dear’.
