Going For A Walk

It is National Walking Month this May.  But, going for a walk is such good therapy in many ways any day of the year.  For us who are able to do so, we are truly very lucky. ❤️

Going Out For a Walk

There are so many reasons
To go out for a walk
It truly is good for your mind
Just walk at your pace
It isn’t a race
And leave all your troubles behind

A stretch of your legs
Is so good for your health
Which, as we all know
Is our ultimate wealth
The icing on the cake
Are the people you meet
With a cheery “hello”
And happy dogs at your feet

With the sun on your face
And the feel of the breeze
Marvel at the birds
As they tweet from the trees
Take a walk through the town
Or a jaunt round a lake
Whatever you choose
You will feel more awake

There are so many reasons
To go out for a walk
It really could brighten your day
Made better, it seems
By the sights that you see
And the people you meet on the way
