Ginger biscuits

Ginger Biscuits

I had one with my coffee
Then one more with my tea
And then I had another one
Which brought it up to three

Half-way through the evening
My mouth felt dry and sour
To take away the taste I munched
On biscuit number four

It tasted sweet and lovely
Like honey from the hive
I had to have another one
That took it up to five

So that is why you find my dear
The packet’s rather small
It’s just as well I went to bed
Or I’d have had them all!
