Gammon & Leek Pasta Bake
Ingredients:
Pasta
3 leeks
Butter or marg
Milk
Flour
6 gammon steaks
Block of cheese
Salt & pepper
Method:
Cook pasta
While pasta cooking, wash the leeks top and tail blend up put in a pan with half slab of butter
Dice the gammon add to pan cook until leeks are soft add more butter if needed
When cooked add the flour to make a roux add milk bit by bit until a sauce is made add grated cheese keep stirring season to taste
Drain pasta run cold water over the pasta to separate drain until no water left
Add to sauce mixture
Put into an ovenproof dish sprinkle cheese over the top cook in the oven on 200 on electric for about 45 mins
I normally prep dish in the morning and then it’s ready for when needed to put the oven on
