From the New Forest’s trees to the famed Gunwharf Quays

From the New Forest’s trees to the famed Gunwharf Quays

We knew on the static’s decking that the sun would soon be gone
So without at all discussing it we rose from our seats as one
Taking our books we went inside to our comfortable chairs whereon
With cheese and biscuits we did imbibe a Cabinet Sauvignon

We’d been to the gym in the morning to work off the weekend’s excess
In Lymington we’d stopped for lunch – a huge ice cream cornet no less
Five nights in Dorset is not very long but we felt like we’d had a real break
Then home, not direct but via Portsmouth to go shopping again for Pete’s sake!
