Special Friend
This verse is but a token
To express just how I feel
For showing me a friendship
That’s solid, true and real
So many people in your life
Pretend to be your friend
I know that you are genuine
From beginning to the end
Your acquaintances are many
But true friends, they are few
I hope you know and realise
I’m always there for you
We’ve laughed when we were happy
And cried when we were sad
So we celebrate the good times
And commiserate the bad
