End of Summer Term
Tis the season of concerts and sports days and speeches
Instead of enjoying the sea and the beaches
The annual support for your grandchildren all
You roast in a field or melt in a hall
The hard plastic seats you’ll certainly find
Get to the coccyx and numb the behind
But it’s worth it of course to see them progress
And if it’s not perfect you love them no less
Then autumn’s all study and working activity
Whilst Nana can’t wait for this year’s nativity
