Do it all again

If we could do it all again
What do you think we’d do
Would we treat Corona like a killer
And not just like the flu

Would we work so hard next time
Just to earn a crust
Or do you think family would come first
You know…just as it should

Would we let ourselves be bullied
Or would we take a stand
Would we walk alone in this world
Or take somebodies hand

Would we just ignore those in need
Or the homeless in the street
Or would we lift them up
Even if it’s just to eat

Would we take the time
To reach out to each other
Or would we simply fall in line
So we don’t become a bother

Would we stop and look around
And maybe smell the flowers
Would we be happier by ourselves
Or with others for a few hours

Would we be more tolerant
When standing in a queue
I know I’d start a sing along
What would you do

Would we smile and say hello
To the people who we pass
Would we take the time each day
To just sit on the grass

So if we could do it all again
