Decisions and Divisions

On every forum website a question has been asked
Do you believe that Europe should be sent back to the past?
Or do we stay and wonder if we might suffer and be lost
What will happen if we stay or go, and each will be a cost.

But most of all what I observe when joining the debate
How simple questions not resolved by angry posts and hate!
Hate for people “coming in” hate by those who state
Close our borders! We were fine before …
But please be sure of what we do before we close the door.

We were born in one big world on this small island ,true
But imagine if you were bombed there what would you do?
Would you turn your back on your fellow man and refuse to share
Then simply state that there’s no room while saying that you care.

The future is meant for all of us on whatever land we live
If you put something in, you get it back and this is how it is.
Don’t think of this as entitlement, think of how we thrive
In this land of generosity, just be glad to be alive.
We do not make the rules, we vote in those that do
So remember that we have a say and make some changes too.
