Daisy Chains
I was feeling nostalgic so went back in time about 20 years. It’s the little things that sometimes make the biggest memories.
Daisy Chains
We sat in a field full of daisies
Caressed by the sun’s warm embrace
Not a care in the world did we have that fine day
Such contentment shone out from our face
We were so very joyful and carefree
Spending time making cute daisy chains
Time stood still for a short while my child
And the sweetest of memories remains
We played out the myth of the buttercups
Your smile as it shone bright on your chin
The simplest of pleasures we enjoyed that fine day
Such contentment to be seen from your grin
The daisies have long since faded my child
From this moment cocooned in the past
But the memory, so fresh in my mind, just so clear
And I hope that it always will last
