Colours of Nature
Colours of Nature
Colour of the sky was grey
As seagulls do soar
Grey also was the rain
That had fallen on the shore
Rainbow colours are around
Look up and not a sound
Red,orange, yellow green
Indigo, violet, they must be seen
Green is for the spring
For what does it bring?
Green grass and flowering trees
With leaves blowing in the breeze
Yellow daffodils of Easter
Everything around looks brighter
Colourful eggs for me and you
An Easter egg hunt, what a too-do,
The magic of a summer night
Sun still shining, and so bright
Sky is blue, grass is green
A summer’s night is so serene
Deepest blue water, sandy beaches
Sitting in hot sun, eating sandwiches
Red berries in the summertime
People pick them in their prime
Orange, red and brown
Autumn leaves tumble down
Time for harvest collections
As farmers enjoy celebrations
Winter brings the long dark nights
When snow falls down, it is white
But yet when it turns to slush
Red faces start to blush
