Christmas Past, Christmas Present
Christmas Past, Christmas Present
Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the land,
People rejoiced, that help was at hand.
The year that’s departing, has left broken hearts,
But the new year that’s coming, will be full of new starts.
A vaccines emerged, that gives us a tomorrow,
But remember the fallen, remember the sorrow.
Life as we knew it, will become part of our past,
And the future ahead, is approaching so fast.
We have been through a lot, since our history began,
Warfare and plague, as the sands of time ran.
So put up your tree, put your cards out on show,
Give presents to loved ones, feel your love grow.
Remember each Christmas, you have had in your life,
With family, your loved ones, your husband, your wife.
Be brave, be strong, even if your alone,
And do not be afraid, to pick up the phone.
If we do our best, and by the rules abide,
No matter what happens, well at least we tried.
Think of each Christmas, you’ve enjoyed in the past,
So don’t break the rules, making this one your last.
We like to be happy, and we like to be kind,
And we don’t like the dark thoughts that enter our mind.
So be optimistic, because when alls said and done,
Next year will be better..Happy Christmas..everyone.
