Christmas is here..

Christmas is Here!!

The time has come for a celebration,
Of peace and love in every nation.
A time of feasting, of merriment abounding.
Of Salvation Armys’ brass band sounding.
Sweets and nuts, Chocolates and beer,
Wine and whisky, all good cheer.

Paper chains, tinsel shiny bright,
Christmas trees with coloured lights.
Open fires with chestnuts roasting,
Chimney breasts their stockings boasting.
But that’s not what it’s all about.
Over 2000 years ago,
Three wise men were in the know.

That a King would be born in Bethlehem,
They brought great gifts, `all three of them.
An Angel spoke to shepherds on the land,
Declaring they were in demand.
To worship a new born King of Kings,
Who’d be the author of great new things.

Please don’t forget that Jesus came,
To cleanse the world of sin and shame.
To die on a cross to spare the rod,
And open our way to a life with God.
