Christmas Blues

Christmas shoppers
Hurrying,  scurrying
Weaving their way in and out of inviting shops
Buying, eating, shopping, plotting
Swiftly, briskly, quickly, fleetly
Hot foot along the high street Rushing –  sidetracked
Eyes averted  –
Avoiding those others on the streets
Not shopping  – no money
Not eating  – no food
Not sleeping  – no bed
Not living – No Home
Who do we blame?
