Christmas
Christmas
Christmas day what does it mean
A white snowy morning, a nativity scene
Stockings are full, gifts are wrapped
Bacon and eggs, for the morning baps
Opening presents, pulling a cracker
Spending time with the people that matter
We feast on the food, popping the corks
Get your coats for those post-dinner walks
Out come the games, the falling out too
Kettle on for the afternoon brew
Put on the telly, do some channel hopping
Checking the internet for Boxing day shopping
Xmas pudding or trifle, or shall I wait
Back to the kitchen, more food on my plate
Time for a tipple, open the bar
Make those telephone calls to those near and far
As the day it slowly draws to a close
Don’t forget the photos round the tree, and pose
With your belly full and a smile on your face
A day with family and friends has really been ace
It’s been a wonderful day full of festive cheer
Well that’s Christmas done for another year
