Call To Arms

Call To Arms

The call to arms was not ignored they proudly joined the line
To enlist in the armed forces
to protect what’s theirs and mine

Whatever the reason we applaud them there are quite a few
Some to exercise their patriotic duty and love of country too
Many made the ultimate sacrifice in far-off fields from home
As others continued in the fight for our freedom far across the foam

On November the eleventh we salute those brave souls each year
In honour of their bravery to protect everything they held dear
Lest we forget the sacrifices of two world wars not be in vain
May the world leaders today encourage peace and prevent this ever happening again
