Beautiful

A very poignant poem about what defines beauty …

Beautiful

If all we valued in the world
Were eyes of blue and hair that curled
And beauty was a roman nose
And patent shoes and pretty clothes

Then only some would fit the bill
The rest of us would simply fill
The darker corners of the room
And hide ourselves within the gloom

But that should never be the case
Don’t be afraid to show a face
That isn’t perfect as a gem
It’s as precious as the rest of them.
