Autumn

Autumn

The Autumn winds blow chilly and cold
signalling the new season to unfold
They whisper to the deciduous whose leaves
dance in the September breeze

Their response is magnificent to behold
as their leaves turn yellow scarlet and gold
A glorious sight and scene
in contrast to the Evergreen

Too soon the autumn leaves take flight
showering the ambler with delight
Crumbling underfoot extend an invitation
to frolick amongst them in joyful jubilation

Until a blanket of snow falls overnight
heralding Winter is in sight
